Granville Island is the perfect location for the arts and artists to develop, display and market their manifestation. This is due to Granville island being a world apart not just in a philosophical sense but also in the physical context. Away from the big business community, away from tenants, landlords, condos, 24/7 convenience stores, away from from high fashion outlets and big box stores, it has developed its own unique charm and laid back atmosphere. Being in a rush on Granville Island are not compatible. Being in a rush does not nurture the creative arts (not usually anyway, though some individuals need pressure to perform).
